(KSL News) High School number eight in Davis County now has a name: It's Syracuse High School, and it will be home to the Titans.
The school colors will be blue, green, black and white.
The naming process started about three weeks ago when the district asked the community for suggestions. Some of the ideas were Island View High School and Legacy High. As for proposed mascots: the Fighting Brine Shrimp and the Swamp Thing.
Officials chose the new school name following a vote by future students. Syracuse High School will open its doors next fall.
