(KSL News) Two alleged ban robbers are in custody this morning thanks to an observant passerby.
The two men had allegedly robbed the Beehive Credit Union in Sandy and were trying to get away.
But as one of the suspects walked toward the get-away car, a die-pack exploded in the money bag. That caught the attention of a man nearby, who followed the robbery suspects and alerted police.
After a short foot pursuit police nabbed suspect Paul Yarber, but his partner was able to get away -- for a while.
He was spotted a short time later in Salt Lake City and taken into custody.
