(KSL News) -- The power company is now reporting 13,000 customers are without power because of high winds today.
Most of those are in the Tooele area where a power pole went down.
Utah power also says there are spotty outages reported in West Jordan and in the Salt Lake metro area.
A power company official says some outages come when the strung lines strike each other and open main power breakers.
