(KSL News) -- Fares go up today for some bus and TRAX riders.

The Utah Transit Authority is implementing ten cent fare increases for "per ride" tickets.

The one-way fare bumps up to $1.35.

The round- trip fare purchased at TRAX vending machines, is now $2.70.

The ten- token package remains at the same price of $12.50.

UTA says the increases affect about a fourth of total riders. Monthly bus pass rates remain the same.
