(KSL News) More Utah troops are leaving to serve their country this morning.
About 15 Utah Army Reserve soldiers from the 889th Transportation Detachment will leave for training at Fort Carson, Colorado in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
So far more than 3,000 Utah Reserve and National Guard members have been called to active duty.
And about 700 members of the Utah Air National Guard have also been deployed.
Guard officials say Utah is contributing heavily to the global war on terror. In fact, Utah has more reserve forces deployed per capita than any other state.
