(KSL News) -- The survivors of last Friday's fatal avalanche in Idaho talked about it for the first time today.
Jenna Rovig, Avalanche Survivor: "I remember saying out loud, 'Daddy just help me, just keep us strong,' and I think that helped too."
Last Friday a wall of snow all but buried the cabin they were sleeping in near Soldier Mountain. The slide killed Marsha Landolt and her husband Bob Busch.
The survivors, who were sleeping in the loft, spent an hour trying to rescue the couple.
Nicolas Kocan, Avalanche Survivor: "I was able to uncover the legs and torso of my mother, but couldn't uncover anymore because of the tightness of the snow, and realized at that point just from pushing and pinching, trying anything to get a response and seeing the color of her skin, I knew it was over and I couldn't find any sign of Bob."
Mrs. Landolt was the Dean of the University of Washington graduate school.
