(Salt Lake City-AP) -- State regulators are looking for answers from Utah Power.
They're calling on Utah Power officials to explain the widespread power outages that have left some customers without electricity for as many as five days.
Today Utah Power officials will meet with the Utah Public Service Commission and the Committee of Consumer Services. They'll be questioned about whether they have enough crews to respond in major emergencies.
Critics say the utility was better staffed before it merged with PacificCorp, which covers seven Western states.
About 100-thousand people were without power when a series of storms that began rolling in late December dropped wet, heavy snow and brought high winds.
Some customers were without power for up to five days.
