(KSL News) -- Jury selection will begin today in Box Elder County in the trial of a man accused of brutally murdering a 15-year-old girl.

Cody Lynn Nielsen is charged with first degree felony capital murder in the death of Trisha Autry in June 2000.

He's accused of killed her, cutting her up, burning her body, and burying her near a research lab.

The trial is expected to begin January 13th in Logan.

If convicted, Nielson could face the death penalty.
