(Salt Lake City-AP) -- A gun comment made by a frustrated man sends an elementary school into lockdown mode.
It happened Monday. Salt Lake City police officials say Rose Park Elementary School was under lockdown for about an hour after a man made a comment about guns in a phone conversation with a staff member.
Police say the man was frustrated with the school's administration while he was trying to get his child readmitted after a brief stint of home schooling.
The principal was not available for him to speak to. That's when he allegedly told the staffer that it was -- quote -- "too bad it's not like the old days when we did things with guns".
The man will have to meet with a school resource officer and the principal but police don't believe the man's a threat.
