COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- BYU junior Jimmer Fredette was named the Mountain West Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his 25 point outburst versus Bradley last Friday.

This is Fredette's third weekly accolade of his career.

The 6-2 guard from Glen Falls, N.Y., led the Cougars to a season-opening win over Bradley 70-60. Along with his 25 points, Fredette grabbed five rebounds and dished out four assists in 37 minutes. Fredette scored 16 of his 25 points in the second half, while also dishing out three assists.

He also went 12-of-14 from the charity stripe in the second half, including hitting all six of his attempts in the final five minutes of the contest.
