(KSL News) Sprinklers kept a fire from destroying a private club in West Valley City.
A West Valley police officer noticed smoke coming from Rodeo's 35 at 1900 West 3300 South and called the fire department.
Thanks to the sprinkler system inside the building and firefighters' efforts, the fire was contained to the upper parts of the club, in the rafters.
Electrical problems sparked the fire that burned through part of the roof. Club owners will need to fix the faulty wiring. The club will be closed for a while while the damages are repaired.
No one was inside the building at the time of the fire.
