(KSL News) – If you plan on milling around Millcreek Canyon with your dog, make sure you have a leash!

Starting today Salt Lake County Sheriff's Deputies and the U-S Forest Service will issue citations to dog owners who allow their pets to run off leash in Millcreek Canyon on even numbered days.

So today, because its the 22nd, is a citation day.

Dogs are allowed off leash on odd numbered days.

Deputies have received numerous complaints that unleashed dogs are chasing and harassing wildlife, so they're cracking down on the rules.
