SALT LAKE CITY -- Hundreds of anxious fans crowded Fashion Place Mall Saturday for a chance to meet some of the stars of the new "Twilight" movie, "New Moon."

A line of nearly 500 people who bought wristbands to the event snaked through the mall.

Two of the film's villains -- Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays the vampire Caius, and Edi Gathegi, who plays the vampire Laurent -- signed posters for 500 lucky fans at the Hot Topic store.

The actors also answered questions and shook hands following the signing.

Utah's obsession with "Twilight" has spilled over to the box office. "New Moon" doesn't open until next Thursday, but already Utahns have purchased more tickets than any other state in the nation.

The Megaplex Theatres -- which sold the most tickets to the first movie last year -- are currently No. 1 in pre-sale tickets.
