(Las Vegas-AP) -- A four-year-old girl who alleges that a former Mormon missionary fondled her at a Las Vegas church recanted a similar accusation against an uncle.

That's got a lawyer for 21-year-old John Misseldine (MISS' uhl Dyne) calling for charges in the current case to be dropped.

But a Clark County prosecutor says the prior accusation has no bearing on the current case.

Misseldine's from Little Rock, Arkansas.

He's accused of fondling the girl and sexually assaulting her seven-year-old sister while baby-sitting them during church services last May.

Misseldine's free on bail after pleading innocent to one count of sexual assault with a minor and two counts of lewdness with a child.

Trial's scheduled in August.
