(KSL News) -- Governor Olene Walker today announced a special oversight committee to look into Utah's participation in the Multi-state Anti-Terrorism Information Exchange, or MATRIX.

MATRIX has raised concerns across the nation because of the potential for abuse of the information it will collect about people.
The Deseret Morning News revealed yesterday that former Governor Mike Leavitt signed the state up for the pilot program without telling lawmakers or citizens.
