(KSL News) -- A skier is safe tonight, but not without some luck.
The man was cross-country skiing in the Big Springs area of Provo Canyon when he fell, broke his leg and spent six hours in the cold.
Sgt. Tom Hodgson, Utah County Sheriff's Dept.: "He was discovered by a group of cross-country BYU skiers who happened to be up there and they happend upon him, and he'd actually been here since about noon."
Utah County Search and Rescue teams brought the man out on a snowmobile about 8:00 tonight.
