(Roy-AP) -- Roy police say detectives are out in full force today looking for a man in a green mini-van they say may have tried to abduct a fifth-grader yesterday.
The 11-year-old girl was walking to school when she told police a man pulled up to her and tried to coax her into the van. She told police he tried to lure her into the van because it was cold outside, and when that didn't work he offered her shoes and money.
But police say the little girl ran to school and told an adult who called police.
Roy police describe the suspect as a male with a dark complexion, beard and mustache and say he was driving a dark green mini-van with brown strips or markings on the sliding doors.
