(Riverdale-AP) -- Plans for a multi-million dollar senior housing facility in Riverdale have gotten the go-ahead from the planning commission.
The facility will include 34 one and two-bedroom units that open into the facility. There will also be center with a multipurpose room that can accommodate up to 300 people, and computer workstations, an exercise area, a ceramics studio, library and T-V lounge.
Though there will be a small clinic for first-aid, there will be no medical help on hand and no medications will be administered. The architect of the complex says the facility will be handicap-adaptable but its residents will be independent.
The three-point-five (m) million dollar facility needs approval from the City Council before it can begin construction.
