Kimberly Houk reporting One man is dead, and an officer is recovering from his wound, after being shot during an early morning drug bust in Ogden.
The narcotics unit in Odgen called in the SWAT team to help them bust into the home of a man they say was making and distributing methamphetamines.

At about 5:30 a.m., the SWAT team entered the suspects home, and the suspect immediately began shooting.
Police say the suspect shot Chris Kovalsky in his right calf. He's recovering tonight and will be fine.
After shooting the officer, police say the suspect locked himself in the bathroom, where he shot and killed himself.
At this time, police are not releasing the name of the suspect. Police say the suspect is known by several aliases, and they are not sure exactly who he is. He appears to have had a violent history.
A female was also in the home at the time, and was not injured.

Police found several other firearms in the home during their investigation.
At this time, it does not appear that any of the officers returned fire.
