MURRAY —- Police arrested two suspected gang members who led police on a short chase.
It started around 9 p.m. Monday when dispatchers received a report of a stolen car in Murray. About an hour later, a Sandy police officer spotted the vehicle and followed it into Midvale. He tried to pull it over near 8000 South and 150 West.
Midvale Police Sgt Marcello Rapela said, "Saw the vehicle coming out of a motel, near 90th and State and ran the plate and discovered it was stolen."
The driver sped off, eventually pulling into an apartment complex on 7900 South. Andre Velacruz and Eric Martinez jumped out and ran, but police dogs found them hiding in the complex.
