(Ogden-AP) -- An Iowa man is in good condition at a Utah hospital after a snowmobile crash near the Utah-Idaho border.

Cache County Sheriff's deputies say 59-year-old Gary Kelderman, of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and a rider on another snowmobile crashed into a tree coming down a steep area near the Left Fork area of Boss Canyon yesterday.

A third snowmobiler careened into Kelderman's sled.

Officers say the snowmobilers called for help on a cell phone and had a G-P-S which helped search and rescue teams locate them. Kelderman was airlifted to an Ogden hospital with a broken hip and was later transferred to L-D-S Hospital where he is in good condition.

The two other snowmobilers were not hurt. Utah State Park authorities are investigating the crash.
