WEST VALLEY CITY -- A teenager is in critical condition after being stabbed at a skateboard park near 3100 South and Bangerter Highway in West Valley Saturday night.

Police said the teen was with a friend when a group of older boys approached them. They had some sort of conversation, when one of the older boys punched the victim, then stabbed him several times.

The victim and his friend were able to find a police officer, and the injured teen was taken to the hospital.

The incident is still under investigation, but police believe it may be gang-related.
