(KSL News) An off-duty Utah County Sheriff's deputy is hit by a car while trying to stop a suspected shoplifter.
It happened shortly after 8 pm outside the Provo Towne Center Mall.
The deputy started chasing the suspect inside Dillards, and when the chase spilled into the parking lot the suspect got into a car and hit the deputy.
She was treated for some minor injuries and will be okay. The suspect got away.
