(KSL News) A man is stabbed while sleeping outside a homeless shelter in Salt Lake City.
Police say another man came up to the victim at 210 S. Rio Grande, and got into some kind of fight. He then pulled a sharp object out of his bag and stabbed the man in the head.
He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and will be okay.
As for the suspect, he is in custody.
Sgt. Brian Bailey/ Salt Lake City Police Dept.: "Officers were in the area and responded rather quickly. They stopped three people who were about 100 yards away and one of them has been identified as the person who did the assault."
Police will likely charge the suspect with aggravated assault later this morning.
