(Richfield-AP) -- Minor damage was reported this afternoon in central Utah after severe weather struck Richfield.

Officials say a roof was torn off a garage, and other debris was scattered.

Officials did not immediately know if the damage was a from a tornado or just high winds.

Richfield police Lieutenant Alan DeMille told a local television station that area golfers reported they "saw what they believed was a funnel,"

Damage was seen over a three-block area.

Richfield is 140 miles south of Salt Lake City.
