(KSL News) -- Salt Lake Police are looking for a man suspected of running down and shooting a 17-year-old boy.
Authorities say the boy was riding his bike on 1300 south, when a car came around the corner and hit him.
The driver allegedly stepped out of the car and fired eight or nine rounds at the victim.

The victim was able to get up and escape into a nearby alley. The suspect took off, leaving his license plate behind.
Police do not believe any bullets hit the boy, but think he does have injuries from being hit by the car.
Most of the bullets went into the ground and some hit homes nearby.
Police believe the incident may be gang related.
