(Provo-AP) -- The Orem man accused of kidnapping a Mapleton boy has a court date this morning.
20 year-old Robert Allen Kartchner will have a preliminary hearing before Judge Anthony Schofield.
Kartchner is accused of grabbing a boy walking home from school last October and taking him to the Diamond Fork area of Spanish Fork Canyon.
There, police say he assaulted the boy and left him in some bushes.
