(KSL News) -- An Orem man suspected of abducting a five year old Mapleton boy last fall will stand trial.
Robert Kartchner waived his right to a preliminary hearing this morning, and entered pleas of not guilty to the charges against him.
That sets the stage for a week long trial beginning in July.

Kartchner is accused of kidnapping the boy as he was walking home from school. The boy was found in the mountains, with his hands taped.
Kartchner was arrested later that night, after being stopped in a green pickup truck--that the victim had described as his abductors vehicle.
