OREM, Utah (AP) -- A construction worker who was taking apart a crane tower fell 80 feet to his death.
Scott M. Fisher, 39, of Alpine, was working on the crane at an apartment construction site Saturday afternoon when the accident happened.
"The initial investigation is that his harness failed," Orem Police Sgt. Todd Mallinson said Sunday.
Fisher was taken to a local hospital, but the impact from the fall apparently killed him instantly, Mallinson said.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was investigating the fall.
