(KSL News) A two-alarm duplex fire errupts in Midvale, leaving investigators with questions and the home a complete loss.

Investigators Probe 'Suspicious' Duplex Fire

Investigators say the fire is suspicious. Because the home was under construction, they're looking at the possibility of a connection with similar fires in the Salt Lake area.

Three different agencies arrived just after 10:00 last night to see plenty of smoke and flames coming from the building at 6825 S. 725 East.

Neighbors say they heard something that sounded like an explosion, but authorities say they probably heard something else.

Capt. Jay Thomas/Midvale Fire Dept.: "We did have some partial collapses on the structure inside. Sometimes that does sound like an explosion."
