Debbie Dujanovic ReportingA dramatic scene has just played out at shopping mall. A woman had her purse stolen, but that's far from the end of the story.

It happened at a shopping center at 5600 S. Redwood Road. A 52-year old woman getting out of her car to go into a store when a suspect pulled up near her, leaned out the window and snatched her purse.

Witnesses watched in horror at what happened next.

Paul Coakley, Witness: "She wouldn't let go, she just hung on to her purse, and then they just drove off, and she in some kind of way she got run over."

As the man drove away, she was dragged several feet and then they run over.

The woman has been airlifted to University hospital in very critical condition.

The suspect is now on the run. Witnesses describe the suspect as a male between 20 and 25 years old. He has red hair and freckles. He is in a cream colored car, possible a Chevrolet.
