(KSL News) -- An accused kidnapper showed up in court yesterday and found out he's facing new charges.
Police say Robert Ersol Berchtold kidnapped a 41-year-old woman twice when she was a child.
Now, they believe, last month, Berchtold attacked a volunteer guard at a St. George conference the woman attended.
He was arrested under the new charges based on witness interviews.
Berchtold was out of jail on $970 bail, but now he's back behind bars.
This time it will take $19,250 to free him.
