(Salt Lake City-AP) -- A delegation of Utah economic development officials hope to drum up some business in China.
Delegation members are on a 10-day trade mission to Beijing and Shanghai where they will meet with Chinese government officials, business executives and organizers of the 2008 Olympics being held in Beijing.
The delegation is made up of state economic development officials, officials from Utah State University, and representatives from about 15 Utah businesses.
Delegation members say there are many opportunities for Utah businesses in China. The country was the seventh largest recipient of exports from Utah in 2003. And in Utah, Chinese natives make up the largest Asian population in the state.
