OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- Ogden has added another outdoor business to its portfolio of sports-related companies.
Quality Bicycle Products is a distributor for more than 5,000 independent bike dealers across the U.S.
The Bloomington, Minn.-based company says it chose Ogden for a 85,000-square-foot warehouse that it plans to build next year.
The Ogden location will allow the company to provide ground-based shipping within two days to a large customer base across the Southwest and Pacific Northwest states.
The distributor says it will employ around 100 workers. Utah is providing an incentive package for the relocation worth $2.1 million.
Company president Steve Flagg says he was attracted to Ogden by its core of recreational industries.
