(KSL News) Investigators shut down a meth lab in Salt Lake City.
Authorities say the lab was especially dangerous because it was still up and running when officers discovered it.
Investigators from several agencies served a search warrant to the home on 600 East at 1330 South around 11:30 last night.
The lab was reportedly inside a hidden area of the garage.
Police say they aren't exactly sure how much of the drug is in the lab because they must first shut it down before moving on with their investigation.
Sgt. Brian Bailey/ Salt Lake City Police Dept.: "The main thing right now is that they're shutting down the lab and making it safe, and that's their main priority right now."
The house was near a park, and DEA officers say charges may be much stiffer because the drugs were being produced near children.
Firearms were also found in the home.
Four adults and two children were inside the home. Police say the suspects will face federal charges.
