(Salt Lake City-AP) -- A couple on the Atkins Diet have a beef with a local Chuck-A-Rama restaurant after being booted from the buffet.

Isabelle Leota and her husband Sui Amaama (Soo-ee uh-MOM-uh) were dining at the Taylorsville restaurant Tuesday night when he says the manager cut him off from the roast beef.

The Salt Lake County Sheriff's office says the manager asked the couple not to eat any more beef, and then when they asked for their money back, he asked them to leave and called police. The police report says the manager reported Amaama had 12 slices of roast beef and his wife had six. But the couple says they're on the no-carb Atkins Diet and they go to Chuck-A-Rama about twice a week and have never had a problem before.

Leota says the whole situation is embarrassing. The restaurant has not returned calls made by The Associated Press.
