(KSL News) A routine traffic stop ends with an arrest and a major drug bust in Midvale.
Police say the man was carrying thousands of dollars in cash and drugs and had to be put down with a taser gun during his arrest.
Officers say they pulled the driver over early this morning on 7200 South and discovered he had a warrant out for his arrest in another county.
After searching him, they found a concealed knife in his boot, six to seven thousand dollars in cash, and two ounces of methamphetamines in his clothing.
Officers say the 25 year old man resisted arrest and a taser gun was used as protection.
Police also called in a K-9 unit to search the car and another five ounces of meth was found in the car. The street value of all the drugs seized is worth several thousand dollars.
