(KSL News) -- A young boy is in the hospital in critical condition after he was pinned between two cars in Woods Cross.
The accident happened at 1500 South and 800 West this afternoon.
Witnesses say a woman driving a van ran a stop sign just as a nine-year-old boy was walking through a crosswalk. They say she hit the boy, then the front of another car, pinning the child in between.
Firefighters had to extricate the boy. He was flown to the hospital with serious injuries.
