(Nebo-AP) -- This graduate proves that you're never too old to get your diploma.

Ninety-two-year-old Vern Huff received his high school diploma last night from the Nebo School District.

Huff went to Spanish Fork High School in the late 1920s but never graduated.

Family members say Huff left his senior year because of an illness and by the time he recovered his father needed help with the spring plowing.

Huff never returned to school. But relatives persuaded him to pursue his diploma, so he went through Nebo's adult education program.

Huff says it's the one thing he had wished he accomplished in his life.

Receiving his diploma this week comes just in time for his 69th wedding anniversary, which he and his wife Ruth celebrate today.
