(KSL News) -- It's getting more expensive to live along the Wasatch Front.

The overall cost of living rose 0.8 percent here during April. The largest increase was in transportation costs, due to rising gasoline prices.

How does Utah's cost of living compare to other states? If you live in Salt Lake City and make $50,000 a year, you would need to make $115,000 dollars to live in San Francisco.

And if you live in Park City and make $50,000, you would only need to make $35,000 a year to live the same lifestyle in Boise, Idaho.
