South Salt Lake police say Lovato was sitting in front of the victim who was reportedly listening to music on his headphones and singing along out loud on a UTA bus. Police say she told the man to quote "shut up" and they began arguing.

When they both got off the bus, police say Lovato pulled out a nail file and stabbed the man in the shoulder and fled the scene. Police caught up to her shortly after.

The man was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Lovato will be arraigned June 10.
