GRAND COUNTY -- A woman and her dog discovered the body of a missing American Fork woman in Grand County.
American Fork police issued an attempt to locate for 43-year-old Kathy Summers Friday. Police included Summers' gray Volkswagen Bug and license plate number in their alert.
The Grand County Sheriff's Office said a woman walking her dog found a woman's body along Route 313 Saturday morning. Police found a car matching the description of Summers' about 300 feet from the body.
Investigators identified the body as Summers' based on evidence at the scene.
Summers' body was turned over to the State Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
