(KSL News) -- Some students in Salt Lake City have been raising money to help save the life of a fellow student.
Today students at Highland High School presented the National Kidney Foundation with a check for almost $13,000 on behalf of their classmate, Cruz Manzono.
Manzano, who is a sophomore, has been on kidney dialysis for years and is waiting for a transplant. So his classmates decided to help him. They collected pennies and other private donations from people and they even held a benefit concert.
