(New York-AP) -- A new Mormon Temple in Manhattan will be dedicated this weekend after a monthlong open house.
The white Manhattan Temple one block west of Central Park near Lincoln Center will eventually boast a spire topped with a gold figure of the angel Moroni.
The building has existed since 1975, but was recently refurbished to house the temple, which will be dedicated Sunday.
Construction of another temple in the New York suburb of White Plains has been delayed by lawsuits, traffic studies and other infrastructure problems.
