(KSL News) -- An elderly woman is in extremely critical condition at the hospital after being struck by a car in Kearns.
The 80-year old, whose name is not released, was not in a crosswalk at 4015 West 5471 South when she was hit. Witnesses say it was a very sad accident scene, and that her body was thrown a considerable distance.
The sheriff's office is investigating the circumstances of the driver, but they say it does not appear the car was speeding.
