(KSL News) -- The Professional Republican Women's group today gave a special tribute to one of Utah's history making women: Governor Olene Walker.
Dianne Yancey "Everyone here loves her. You can't believe all the hands that have helped make this day happen, and that's why they did it. It's not like "oh you need to do this', it's a 'oh, for Olene, anything!' and that's how it worked."
Governor Walker made history 11 years ago by becoming the state's first female Lieutenant Governor.
Today's luncheon was a way for women from all over the state to give her a personal, unique tribute.
Everyone that attended has interacted and worked with Governor Walker throughout her years in office.
Her husband and children also came, as well as Senator Orrin Hatch.
Organizers entitled the program, "A Path to Follow," as a way to exemplify her achievements, principles, values and ethics.
