(KSL News) Salt Lake County fire investigators are looking into the cause of a three alarm fire overnight.

Fire crews arrived at a vacant house at 5546 W. 5160 South around one a.m. and found heavy fire coming from the back of the home.

Flames had engulfed the basement; other areas of the home were also burning.

It took firefighters about 45 minutes to extinguish the blaze. One firefighter suffered minor injuries.

The home appears to be a total loss.
