(Salt Lake City-AP) -- The Democratic Party has made its choice for the Salt Lake County auditor position vacated after Craig Sorensen resigned.
Fifty-nine-year-old Norman Le Fevre was chosen yesterday to face G-O-P candidate and newly appointed interim auditor Sean Thomas.
Le Fevre says he wants to clean up the office.
Sorensen, the former auditor, admitted stealing gasoline and has been charged with second-degree felony misuse of public money.
He's scheduled for a court hearing today.
