(Salt Lake City-AP) -- Hitting the road this holiday weekend could mean a longer trip than expected.
The Utah Department of Transportation says drivers during the heavy-traffic weekend can expect delays because of ongoing construction projects.
In southern Utah, projects north of Cedar City have traffic restricted to just a single lane with the speed limit reduced to between 55 and 65 miles per hour.
Bottlenecks at the narrowed road could add up to two hours to the trip, so U-D-O-T is advising people to get an early start.
