(Salt Lake City-AP) -- A Utah Highway Patrol trooper who was hit by a car over the weekend has been released from the hospital.
James Wright was hit yesterday moments after he stopped his patrol vehicle on I-15 in Ogden to help a motorist.
An ambulance in the opposite lanes rear-ended a pickup, which ended up colliding with the patrol car.
Wright suffered a shoulder injury, and is recovering at home. He was released hours after the accident, and officials say he'll be back to work in a few days.
